Our Mission
Continuing the work of Jesus Christ; making his name known and loved.
Continuing the work of Jesus Christ; making his name known and loved.
We are a Catholic community growing in faith, spreading the Gospel message of Love through our daily lives and by supporting one another and the wider community through prayer, fellowship and service.
To continually grow in love of God, we strive to understand what he teaches us in Sacred Scripture (the Bible) and through the teachings of the Magisterium of the Roman Catholic Church. We do this through individual and parish based programmes of formation, supporting one another and engaging with the Church to understand the depths and richness of her teachings founded on the commandments of Jesus Christ.
As we engage with our faith we strive to put it into practice in our daily lives at home, in work, in the parish, in the shops, on the streets etc. Engaging the community around us in truth and love. Truth and love start with ME. In honesty about who I am as a person and acknowledging and accepting who I am in the sight of God (a child who is infinitely loved), I love myself more fully in order to love God and those around me.
We continually strive to look beyond ourselves and lamenting our individual situations to work together as the Body of Christ. For a body to work each part must play its role at the service of the rest of the body. In serving the needs of others in our parish community and the wider local community we bring a physical expression to the love that Christ taught us.
The best form of evangelisation is that of example. We acknowledge and strive to bring the Gospel message to those around us by the way in which we live our day-to-day lives.
Relationships require communication. Through daily prayer, both private and in the Sacred Liturgy, and in reception of the Sacraments, we deepen our relationship (our Communion) with God and each other.
